Welcome! My name is Talia Lowi-Merri, and I am a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Anatomy at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. I recently earned my PhD from the University of Toronto and Royal Ontario Museum. I use morphometrics and phylogenetic comparative methods to better understand evolutionary transformations - primarily in birds. In addition to research, I am deeply passionate about natural history museums, nature photography, and science education. I host a YouTube show called Paleologic (created by the folks at Animalogic), where I share my passion and knowledge of extinct creatures with the public. All photos featured on this site were taken by me, unless indicated otherwise.
